Michaela's family law practice consists of Care proceedings, Private law children matters and Financial remedy proceedings.
Michaela has extensive experience of lengthy and complicated private and public law hearings involving the most serious allegations. She has an excellent manner which is appreciated by clients (professional and lay) and courts alike.
Michaela is instructed to represent sports people in an array of legal concerns from contractual agreements to disciplinary hearings.
As part of the Sports Law team in chambers Michaela appears in courts and tribunals on Regulatory Breaches, Anti-Doping Violations, Private Criminal Defence and Professional Disciplinary matters.
In addition Michaela is a heavyweight criminal practitioner routinely instructed in complex criminal matters. Her forensic approach to case presentation and analytical insight ensures that she is in demand for the most serious cases involving murder, rape, fraud and money laundering, and large-scale drug conspiracy cases.
In recognition of her expertise in cases of fraud and financial crime, Michaela has delivered seminars on international fraud and money laundering to a UN affiliated NGO in Vienna.
Michaela is a member of Lincoln’s Inn, the Criminal Bar Association, International Intellectual Property Law Association, British Association of Sport and Law.
